Special patches are pipe parts used to repair steel pipelines in a case when it is not possible to use Standard patches of FZS type and FZV type (following 5.2-1.1 up to 5.2-2.2 hereof). These can be used e.g. in bends in the points pipeline branches, etc. Their shapes and structures are very specific, as they depend on particular conditions in the point to be repaired; they depend especially on operating pressure and shape of the pipeline. However, they are always constructed to ensure maximum safety during application and operation of the patch. For the above-mentioned reasons they are usually tailor-made.
